Energy Management System

ESS Energy production, efficiency and management systems

The facilities for ESS operation consist of main facilities such as batteries, PCS, power distribution, etc., various sensors such as temperature and humidity sensors, HVAC, firefighting (fire detection), and environmental monitoring facilities. For optimal operation (charging and discharging) of ESS, various status information is collected in real time, stored and monitored to maintain the optimal state, and ESS control peak reduction (Peak-Cut) and load shifting (peak-shifting) according to the purpose function.

In addition, when linking with new and renewable energy (solar power), it guarantees stable system output, enabling efficient power supply.

Main Function

Battery Synchronization / PCS Control

It collects ESS Battery information in real time and controls the charging and discharging of the PCS according to the characteristics in consideration of the state of the Battery such as SOC, voltage, and current.

Intelligent Charge/Discharge Control

It collects ESS Battery information in real time and controls the charging and discharging of the PCS according to the characteristics in consideration of the state of the Battery such as SOC, voltage, and current.

PLC Applied

It provides stability of control (redundant configuration if necessary) by adopting B&R Automation PLC of the world-famous ABB group company. In addition, it collects and monitors field data in real time and provides it through the OPC-UA interface.

Peak-Cut, Peak-Shifting

By applying the power demand forecasting algorithm, the optimal forecast is performed every 15 minutes, and the ESS is discharged when it approaches the target peak, thereby preventing the maximum peak. Peak-shifting provides an optimal operation charging and discharging algorithm.

Provide ESS Operation Status

The plan and implementation details of the ESS charging and discharging status are provided in various forms, and the operation performance is provided by converting the details into amounts based on the implementation details.
